The Sunshine Plaza Campaign will bring lively, convivial energy, music, and an outdoor performance space to under-regarded Sunshine Alley.

We are only $5k from meeting our $227,000 fundraising goal to complete the project by June. Please consider donating, to take us over the finish line in time for the summer festivities!
Volunteer!
To volunteer on-site during construction, please email info@fhbrickworks.com with the word “Volunteer” in the subject line. All volunteers at all skill levels are needed and appreciated. Volunteers will work directly with builder Pete Kilpatrick.
Sunshine Plaza will give our community and visitors:
- A beautiful outdoor gathering space in the heart of Friday Harbor
- An outdoor venue for musicians, artists, cultural events, as well as private parties and weddings
- Year-round, covered market stalls for the farmers market and the San Juan Islands Food Hub
- A new cedar fence to replace the old chain-link
- The “Gathering Place” public art sculpture and seating by local artist, Tom Small
- An urban oasis where we can connect with friends, families, and visitors
